Summer of ’94 was a special kind of chaotic — the fun kind.

For about six months, I lived in a studio apartment on Papineau with a mini Gaspésie reunion under one roof. Jason, Réjeanne, Vicky, her boyfriend Jason — we all ended up in the same building, like a transitional family between our lives back home and our more permanent spots in the city.

While the 45 bus brought us right to our door, Métro Fabre was the nearest metro station. For me, Fabre represents that messy, memorable summer of in-between: friendships, cheap rent, and city dreams just starting to take shape.
