In 1997, I began a new chapter of my life at 3131 Sherbrooke East — the head office of the Red Cross, which would later become Héma-Québec.

My first role was in the recruitment department, working as a telephone operator. In early 1998, that department was moved to Ville Saint-Laurent, taking me far from the familiar rhythm of Préfontaine.

But just a few months later, in April 1998, I returned — this time to the donor center right in the same neighborhood.

I stayed there until 2001, when my path took me east to Radisson. But Préfontaine always felt like a professional home base — the metro that marked both a beginning and a return.
